But when I stepped to the mic to play it for the first time, I was captured by this flutes beautiful buttery sound!!!! Flutes don't necessarily have to be both beautiful and highly functioning for this Aleut woman, It's tonality is my first consideration of course- but this flute has BOTH attributes!! Six hole, extended pentatonic flute. Tunings & Scales The story behind this flute portrays the Raven carrying the sun, having taken it from a gready Chief, to give it back to all the people. Created in Holly the spirit end is hand crafted into the flute body and hand painted. The vibrant sound that eminates from this flute is exceptional as each note played can be felt by the players finger tips! This flute is perfectly 'balanced' so as not to be compromised by the partially closed end or beak. With the 'Breath of Life' minimum breath air flow design (pioneered by Waking Spirit Flutes) this flute is ideal for both the beginner and the more experience professional player/recording artist. The 'Breath of Life' minimum breath design enables inventive playing and longer phrasing between breath intakes. Real loom woven glass beads, hand sewn onto quality hide add a decorative contrast to this outstanding instrument.
